Biography

Christopher Lentz has worked for more than 15 years in the field of international justice, where he has gained practical experience in international criminal law and procedure, public international law and diplomacy, and related fields of international law. He is based in The Hague, where he currently serves as a Legal Advisor in the Register of Damage for Ukraine and as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School. Previously, he advised Presidents, Judges, Registrars, and a Prosecutor at (variously) the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Special Tribunal for Lebanon, and International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals. He holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Chicago Law School and, alongside other professional responsibilities, is an active member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature World Commission on Environmental Law. He participates here in his personal capacity.
