Biography

I'm Dr. Abdul Aziz Meslat, a criminal lawyer with over 20 years of experience in both national and international criminal law. I've had the privilege of working on major, high-profile cases, and my focus has always been on defending rights and achieving justice.

I hold a Ph.D. in International Criminal Law and an LLM in Criminal Procedure and International Litigation, which has given me the tools to navigate complex legal challenges. Currently, I serve as President of the Washington Center for Criminal Justice.

I'm also counsel before the International Criminal Court, and formerly chaired the Amicus Committee at the ICC Bar Association. Since 2022, I’ve been Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the George Washington Legal Training Institute, where I help train and mentor the next generation of legal professionals.

In addition, I lead American Premier Advocates & Legal Consultants Group LLP, a law firm known for high-level advocacy and broad legal services. Outside the courtroom, I’m deeply committed to human rights and academic research, with seven published books and over 160 research papers in areas like international law and global justice.
