- Biography
Dr. Marieke de Hoon is Associate Professor of International Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam, Director of the Amsterdam Center for Criminal Justice, Senior Counsel and Director Netherlands Office at the Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG), and former (hon.) Appeals Prosecutor at the Dutch Public Prosecution Service. Her current research project (funded by the Dutch Research Council NWO) focuses on theorizing the extraterritorial atrocity prosecutor in domestic jurisdictions, exploring the legal and political challenges they face in a rapidly changing investigations landscape.
