- Biography
Steven C. Roach is Professor of International Relations at the University of South Florida. A Fulbright scholar (2020–2021) and Honorary Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, he has published numerous books and articles on politics and international relations, which have been translated into Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. He is the recent recipient of two CHOICE Magazine Outstanding Academic titles, the Theodore and Venette Askounes-Ashford Distinguished Scholar Award, a Global Excellence Award, and the Outstanding Faculty Award. From 2018–2021, he was the Director of four graduate programs at the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, which included the Ph.D. program in Politics and International Affairs, the Master’s degree program in Political Science, the Master’s degree program in Africana Studies, and the Master’s degree program in Latin America and Caribbean Studies. Currently he is the editor of the SUNY book series Ethics and the Challenges of Contemporary Warfare, and serves on the editorial board of several academic journals.
