Darryl Robinson is a Professor at Queen’s University, Faculty of Law. As a Canadian diplomat, he was involved in the negotiation of the Statute of the International Criminal Court. Since 2020, he has worked on the proposed new crime of ecocide. He was a member of a UCLA Promise Institute for Human Rights group of experts on the definition of ecocide, and is a member of the Ecocide Law Advisory, assisting national legislators on strengthening environmental criminal law. He has received the Antonio Cassese Prize for International Criminal Legal Studies and was inducted into the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists.
