Biography

Douglass Hansen is a legal officer at the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences in Siracusa, Italy. He has worked as a victim-offender mediator for criminal courts in the United States, and as a lawyer at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, the Special Court for Sierra Leone and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Most recently he served as the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry. He holds a BA from Tufts University, a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and an LLM from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
